Lauren Hawks, M.Ed., serves as an Academic Coach at Isaac School District #5 since June 2020, focusing on the professional development of 20 middle school educators. Hawks has experience as an 8th Grade Math Teacher, facilitated a Professional Learning Community, coached middle school cheer, and advised the Girls Action in Leadership (GAL) Club. Previously part of Teach For America from June 2017 to May 2022, Hawks was a 2020 Corps Member and an Ambassador, successfully leading campaigns that recruited top student leaders and managing a recruitment pipeline. As an Accelerate Fellow, Hawks contributed to projects in the Chicago-Northwest Indiana and Rio Grande Valley regions, emphasizing placed-based pedagogy. Hawks also held a leadership role at ASU Career and Professional Development Services, where engagement and followership grew significantly under management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, both from Arizona State University.
