Judy Brinkley Boone has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Judy started their career as a Training Specialist and Curriculum Writer at Electronic Data Systems in 1988 and continued in this role until 1995. Judy then transitioned to the education sector, working as an Elementary Classroom Teacher in the Richardson Independent School District from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they took on roles in the same school district as a Library & Information Technology Educator and an Instructional Coach, where they played various leadership roles and responsibilities, including curriculum writing, instructional technology, and mentoring. Currently, they are working in the Irving Independent School District as the Director of Digital and Learning Resources, overseeing the implementation of digital resources and supporting the district's learning initiatives.
Judy Brinkley Boone has a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from Texas Woman's University, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they received their Texas teacher certification in Elementary Education and Teaching from Southern Methodist University, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Judy'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University, which they earned from 1983 to 1986. In addition, Judy has additional certifications including Texas School Librarian Certification EC-12 and Texas Teacher Certification - Generalist EC-6, obtained from the Texas Education Agency.
