Maria Lazaro Diez is a postdoctoral researcher at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute since January 2023. Prior to this role, Maria held the position of Postdoctoral Research Scientist at CSIC from February 2021 to August 2022, focusing on a novel phage therapy for antibiotic-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacteria. From May 2019 to December 2020, Maria served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of California San Diego, conducting research on the implications of hyaluronidase in acne vulgaris and vaccine development. Maria's academic journey includes a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from Universidad de Cantabria, completed in 2018, a Master's degree in the same field from the same university in 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad de León, obtained in 2013.
