Tess Conroy has diverse work experience in various fields. From 2022, they have been working at IronYun as a Customer Support and Software Engineer, where they develop software, assists with the setup and installation of the company's video intelligence platform, Vaidioâ„¢. Tess also provides technical support to users. Prior to that, Tess worked at Holy Cross Libraries as a Reference Assistant and Library Assistant from 2019 to 2022. In 2020, they served as a Teaching Assistant in the Holy Cross Computer Science Department, assisting students with their coursework and providing feedback. Tess also worked as a Notetaker at Holy Cross Accessibility Services from 2021 to 2021. In 2021, they participated in the Research Experiences for Undergraduates program at UCF Center for Research in Computer Vision, where they conducted research on machine learning for detecting risky content in adolescent Instagram direct messages. Tess also worked as a Freelance Captioner at Rev.com from 2018 to 2021, maintaining accuracy and adherence to style requirements. In 2019, they worked in Guest Services at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, and from 2018 to 2019, they served as a Student Worker at Holy Cross Dining Services.

Tess Conroy began their education in 2014 at Fairfield Warde High School where they earned their High School Diploma in 2018. After completing high school, they continued their studies at the College of the Holy Cross from 2018 to 2022. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree with a major in Computer Science and Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Tess also obtained certifications in Human Subjects Research from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in May 2021, as well as a certification as a Peer Educator from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators in January 2021.
