Sajid has been making investments in several successful consumer and digital businesses in India for over 10 years. He has since had a close view of the evolution of the Indian tech and start-up ecosystem.

Before joining Iron Pillar, Sajid was a lead investor in a few growth stage businesses where he put together a consortium of capital to acquire significant minority stakes and work closely with the companies to help drive value creation. Prior to this, Sajid served as a Principal and Venture Advisor to venture capital firm Blume Ventures for 7 years where he was leading investments and doing portfolio management. Before investing professionally, he founded Amedeo Software, a mobile value added services company that rolled out several high value long term contracts for customers such as Alcatel Lucent and Nuance and eventually exited the firm’s resources to these clients.

Sajid serves as a non-executive director on the board of publicly listed Poonawalla Fincorp.

Sajid earned his BBA at the European Business School and Regents College London and completed executive education courses in private equity and venture capital from the Indian School of Business.
