Carel Boers is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the video game industry and academia. As the Vice President of Technology at Iron Fox Games since May 2022, Carel leads technical initiatives. Concurrently, Carel serves as a part-time Lecturer at the University of Prince Edward Island, developing curriculum and instructing CSC 465 - Video Game Architecture since January 2013. Previous roles include Senior Backend Engineer at Kabam, Programmer/Analyst at Veterans Affairs Canada, and Senior Programmer positions at Electronic Arts and Other Ocean Interactive. Earlier in the career, Carel held a Software Engineer position at HB Studios, contributing to titles such as "NBA Live 09," "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010," and "Fifa World Cup 2010." Carel began in the industry as a Software Engineer at AOL, developing applications in C++. Carel holds a BCSC in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, earned between 2001 and 2006.
