John Coyle has worked in the technology industry since 2002. In that year, they began as the Managing Director of Safe and Sound Solutions. In 2006, they became the Owner and Managing Director of Metro Surveillance, where they developed new solutions for fraud detection and prevention, designed mainly for the retail and gaming industry. John also developed a CCTV automation system for a major UK oil distributor and was in charge of expanding into new markets of West Africa and Europe. In 2020, they began working as a Design Engineer and Irish Partner at IREX.ai, where they designed smart city video analytics.

John Coyle attended St Patricks College from 1991 to 1995 and then Portadown College from 1996 to 1997, where they earned a National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
