Since May 2019, Renato Boero has been Chairman of Iren SpA. He was born in Turin in 1962, he graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin and acquired a solid experience in ENEL in the field of management of complex energy production plants in Italy and abroad (ENEL-Slovakia). For eight years, since 2007, manager in the environment sector in Milan with managerial responsibility for waste treatment plants, plant design, landfills, reclamation, permitting, construction. He was Executive Chairman of TRM S.pA, a waste treatment company in the Turin Metropolitan Area, and Chairman of the Board of Iren Energia. Since May 2019 he has been Chairman of Iren SpA, one of the most important and dynamic multi-utility companies on the Italian scene that operates in the sectors of electricity, gas, thermal energy for district heating, management of integrated water services, environmental services, and technological services for energy efficiency and innovation. He is Vice President of Utilitalia and a member of the Executive Board.
