Xiaoxi Dong has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and product development. They worked as a Software Developer at Irdeto, where they focused on the transcoder core as a compiler developer using Java and LLVM. Prior to that, Xiaoxi Dong served as the Director of Product Development and Founder at Pandadar, where they implemented and maintained an online learning platform. They developed various features like the online learning system, booking system, and client management system using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. They also integrated services to the platform using MVP and RESTful API. Before their role at Pandadar, Xiaoxi Dong worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Ciena for four years. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Informatics in Japan, where they implemented a prototype in Domain Specific Modeling and conducted research on domain modeling.

Xiaoxi Dong completed their education in several institutions. Starting in 2003, they attended the Harbin Institute of Technology and obtained a B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology in 2007. Following this, from 2005 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Birmingham. Finally, from 2007 to 2010, Xiaoxi Dong attended McGill University, where they achieved a Master of Computer Science degree in the field of Computer Science.
