Pedro Castro Alves serves as the Managing Director of IQNet Association since October 2013, overseeing governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, while supporting internal organizational functions and conducting peer assessments since 2002. Previously, Pedro contributed to the Ordem dos Engenheiros - Região Norte as Treasurer and Regional Vice-President, served on the Accreditation Committee for the International Accreditation Forum, and represented IQNet in various international committees related to accreditation and standardization. Pedro's extensive experience includes positions as General Director of LUSAENOR, Management System Auditor for multiple certification bodies, and Senior Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand. Pedro holds an MBA from EGE and ESADE, advanced studies in Quality Engineering, and a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Porto, along with ongoing contributions in the field of national defense auditing and research in carbon catalysis.
