Tanya Laubscher has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Tanya started their career as a Senior House Officer at William Harvey Hospital in 1994 before taking on the role of Resident Medical Officer at The Bournemouth Nuffield Hospital. In 1995, they became a Solo General Practitioner at their own clinic, providing primary healthcare services until 2013. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Medical Officer at International SOS. Later, they joined Life Groenkloof Hospital casualty Unit as a Casualty Officer, where they worked until 2020. Tanya then became a Pandemic Medical Officer at ATA International Holdings until 2022. Their most recent position was as a Locum casualty doctor at Casualties in Pretoria and surrounding areas. Currently, they are employed as a Medical Doctor at Iqarus, starting in 2023.
Tanya Laubscher began their education in 1983 at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapy. Tanya completed this program in 1986. In the same year, they also started studying for their MBChB degree in Family Practice at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they completed in 1992. Later, in 2000, Tanya Laubscher enrolled at the North-West University/Noordwes-Universiteit and earned a BSc Hons degree in Clinical Pharmacology in 2002, specializing in the field of Pharmacology.
