Mark Strong currently serves as the Manager of Communications and Engagement at Ipswich City Council, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Mark was the Director of Oversight at the Queensland Family and Child Commission from November 2020 to June 2022 and previously held the position of Director, Office of the Commissioners at the same organization from January 2020. Mark's extensive experience includes serving as Senior Director of Communication and Engagement at West Moreton Hospital and Health Service, where responsibilities included leading communication and engagement strategies for a significant health authority. Additional roles include Director at Queensland Health, Principal Liaison at the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, and various positions at the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Mark began a career in journalism with Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, culminating in positions such as Editor of the Tweed Daily News. Mark is an alumnus of The University of Queensland.
