John Sweeney has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. John currently serves as the President of Weld-On at IPS Corporation, a Centerbridge Private Equity owned company. Prior to this, they were the President and CEO of Epredia.
Before joining Epredia, John held senior leadership positions at Pall Corporation, where they led three business units with full P&L responsibility. John also served as the Vice President and Business Unit GM for Pall's medical filtration business.
John's previous experience includes serving as the Senior VP and General Manager of Molecular Diagnostics at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. John also worked as the Executive VP and Head of Lab Solutions Business Unit at Merck Life Science and as the VP Life Science Business Unit at Millipore.
Before their roles in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, John started their career as a Consultant at Bain & Company and later worked as a Vice President at Berkshire Group LP. Overall, John Sweeney brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leading successful businesses in the healthcare and life science sectors.
John Sweeney earned their MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, completing their undergraduate studies from 1988 to 1992.
