Chris Wright

Chief Invention Officer at Iprova

Chris Wright has extensive work experience in various scientific and technological roles. From 2016 to the present, they have been with Iprova, starting as an Invention Developer before advancing to become the Head of Invention and finally the Chief Invention Officer. At Iprova, Chris has pioneered a data-driven, AI-enabled approach to create commercially relevant and disruptive inventions in areas such as mobile devices, autonomous vehicles, telecommunications, blockchain, and healthcare.

Prior to that, in 2015, Chris worked as a Technology Consultant at Andarta Medical, a spinoff company focused on developing a lung pacing device. In this role, they provided scientific and technical expertise in the initial stages of product development, including overseeing a rigorous product assessment procedure.

From 2011 to 2016, Chris was affiliated with University College London, where they pursued a PhD and MRes degree. Chris'sresearch focused on developing a technique to treat neurodegenerative diseases, resulting in a published paper in the Journal of Physics.

In 2010, Chris worked as a Researcher at Imperial College London, where they characterized the growth and gene expression of fungi for rice crops. Chris also organized funding for this project from the BBRSC.

Chris Wright earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from Imperial College London, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Bedford School from 2002 to 2007, completing their A Levels in Biology, Physics, and Maths. Chris then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering at UCL, which they completed from 2010 to 2011. In September 2011, Chris also obtained certification as a member of the Bright Futures Society from Bright Futures Resourcing.
