Colin Pitt has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and security. Colin currently holds the position of Global Head of Architecture at IPL Innovative Packaging Leaders since October 2021. Previously, they served as the Global Head of Architecture & Cyber Security from March 2020 to October 2021, Global Head of Security & IT Operations EU from December 2018 to March 2020, and Global Head of IT Security from June 2017 to December 2018, all at IPL Innovative Packaging Leaders.

Prior to their roles at IPL, Colin worked at One51 as an IT Security Manager from October 2014 to June 2017. Colin also worked at One51 as a Senior Systems/Security Administrator from October 2008 to February 2011, where they were involved in project delivery, policy creation, security audits, vulnerability assessments, and provided training and guidance to junior team members.

Colin's earlier experience includes working at University College Dublin, where they served as the Lead Technical Support Engineer from December 2006 to January 2008 and as an IT Helpdesk Technician from October 2005 to December 2006. In these roles, they managed a team, provided desktop and network support, and handled user account management.

Overall, Colin Pitt has gained extensive expertise in IT architecture, cybersecurity, IT operations, IT security management, system and network administration, and technical support throughout their career.

Colin Pitt completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Security and Forensics from University College Dublin from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Dublin City University from 2001 to 2005. Colin also holds several additional certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in 2016, MCP Server 2012 Installing & Configuring from Microsoft in 2015, and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)² in April 2014. Colin has also obtained certifications from Cisco and Microsoft in the past, including Cisco CCENT in October 2009, MCSE Server 2003 (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCTS SQL Server 2005 (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist), and MCP Windows XP (Microsoft Certified Professional), all obtained in 2008.
