Alex Gittings has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2014 when they were a Lab Demonstrator and Student Intern within The Centre for Enhancing Learning and Teaching (CELT) at Birmingham City University. In 2016, they became a Solution Validation Services (SVS) Lab Developer and Intern at Cisco, where they supported the development of an internal lab management tool and liaised with additional developers on implementation options. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Student Intern at Birmingham City University. Currently, they are a Professional Services Consultant at Axians UK, where they act as a trusted advisor with customers assisting with automation initiatives to improve efficiency and customer growth. Alex is also involved in the pre-sales process to deliver technical advice on a multitude of projects. Starting in 2022, they will be a Solutions Architect at IP Fabric.
Alex Gittings has a comprehensive education history. Alex attended Cheslyn Hay High School from 2007 to 2014, where they attained GCSE and A-Levels. Alex then attended Birmingham City University from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In addition, Gittings has obtained a number of certifications from various institutions, including Juniper Networks, Cisco, and Silver Peak. These certifications include the Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Automation and DevOps (JNCIA-DevOps) and Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Automation and DevOps (JNCIS-DevOps), both obtained in 2020, Cisco Certified Networking Professional -Enterprise and Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, both obtained in 2017, and Silver Peak SDWAN Professional (SPSP) and Silver Peak SDWAN eXpert Certification (SPSX), both obtained in 2018.
