Lang Xia has worked in the engineering field since 2008. Lang began as a Research Assistant at Fudan University in 2008, then moved to The George Washington University in 2012 where they worked as a Research Assistant and completed finite element analysis, applied nonlinear ultrasound, and studied nonlinear dynamics of microbubbles and echogenic bio-vesicles. In 2017, they joined X-wave Innovations, Inc. as a Research and Development Engineer, where they performed finite element simulations, Li-ion battery modeling, finite element software developments, non-destructive evaluation/testing of Li-ion batteries, and image/signal processing. In 2022, they joined Iontra LLC as a Sr. Battery Simulation Engineer.
Lang Xia received their PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University in 2018. Lang obtained their Master of Science in Fluid Mechanics from Fudan University in 2011, and their Bachelor of Science in Theoretic & Applied Mechanics from Lanzhou University in 2008. Lang also holds additional certifications, including Machine Learning (100/100) from Stanford University on Cousera obtained in 2017, Graduate Teaching from The George Washington University obtained in 2016, Writing in the Sciences (With distinction, 95/100) from Stanford University obtained in 2015, and NSF RCR Training from University of Miami obtained in 2013.
