KC Erb began their work experience in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they worked until 2012. Following that, they joined the University of Utah as a Research Assistant in 2012 and stayed until 2016. In 2015, KC also worked as a DevOps Consultant at Hardy Nutritionals® until 2017. In the same year, they started working as a Web and Integrations Specialist at lolo, llc until 2018. From 2017 to 2019, KC worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Physics ASCR. In 2017, they also joined Kings Distributed Systems Ltd. as a Senior Developer, and later became a Technical Product Manager, holding the position until 2021. Currently, KC is working at IonQ as a Senior Software Engineer.

KC Erb obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics at the University of Utah, from 2012 to 2016. Their educational journey continued at Charles University, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, spanning from 2017 to 2019. In 2006 to 2007, KC Erb also attended the University of Arizona, although no specific degree or field of study is provided.
