Simon Cassegrain is a Senior Polymer R&D Chemist at Ionomr Innovations Inc., starting in March 2023. Prior to this role, Simon served as a Laboratory Manager and Postdoctoral Researcher at Simon Fraser University from January 2020 to March 2023. Simon's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, completed in 2019, and a Master's degree in Biomolecular Chemistry from the University of Montpellier. Research experience includes developing π-conjugated polyelectrolytes, sphingolipids synthesis, and polymerization of rac-lactide. Simon's internships span various institutions, contributing to diverse projects in chemistry and materials science, starting from 2011.
