Brian DeRath is an experienced educator and professional with a diverse background in teaching, leadership, and retail management. Currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Ionia Public Schools since August 2017, Brian has previously held principal positions at Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and Williamston Community Schools. Brian also works with New Balance Detroit in various capacities, including Store Manager, where the focus is on developing exceptional customer service, and as a Corporate Trainer and Cultural Minister. Additionally, Brian is the President of Creative Solutions in Life, emphasizing a creative and collaborative workplace. Brian holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University, along with a Teacher Certification in History and English from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Michigan State University.
