Pippa Gawley has a diverse work experience in the climate tech industry. Pippa is currently a Board Observer at NitroFix, Actuation Lab, and Anaphite. Previously, they were a Founding Partner at Zero Carbon, where they focused on investing in early-stage companies working towards climate change solutions. Pippa has also served as a Non Executive Director at BioZeroc, IONATE, and Phycobloom. In addition, they co-founded FiveThirteen and worked as an Angel Investor at ClearlySo. Pippa has been actively involved in the climate tech sector since 2015, initially as a Climate tech angel investor.
Pippa Gawley's education history includes a period from 1994 to 1998 when they attended the University of Cambridge. During this time, they pursued a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and obtained an MEng.
In addition to their formal education, Pippa has obtained several certifications in various fields. In June 2019, they completed "The Role of the Non-Executive Director" course offered by The Institute of Directors. Also in June 2019, they received a "Certificate of Knowledge and Understanding of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)" from the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA).
In the same year, Pippa also completed "The Effective Investor" course provided by the UK Business Angels Association. In April 2018, they obtained the "CCSx: Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage" certification from edX. Pippa also participated in the "Oxford Impact Investing Programme" offered by Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in April 2018.
Pippa holds an "Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies Professional Certificate" from the Stanford Center for Professional Development, which they obtained in January 2018. Furthermore, Pippa completed the "Fundamentals of Angel Investing" course offered by the Angel Capital Association in March 2017.
Lastly, Pippa holds a "Private Pilot's licence" issued by the Federal Aviation Administration, which they obtained in September 2010.
