John DeMelis, MBA, CPA, currently serves as Interim Dean and Senior Clinical Lecturer at Iona University's LaPenta School of Business since August 2020 and holds the position of Advisor to the Board at The Martir Group, an investment company specializing in M&A within the dietary supplements sector. Prior to these roles, John DeMelis was a partner at EY from September 1988 to September 2020, overseeing client service and audit quality, leading various teams focused on enhancing audit standards, and assisting clients with non-financial reporting initiatives related to climate change and sustainability. John DeMelis earned a Master of Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics/Accounting from SUNY Oneonta.
