Jim Cassidy is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Technology Officer at ion8 since June 2019, Jim previously held the position of Application Architect at Public Services and Procurement Canada from October 2017 to February 2019. A brief career pause in 2017 was dedicated to personal growth and family time. Jim's earlier roles include Manager of Business Services at the University of Ottawa's Medical School, where project management frameworks were introduced, and Senior Programmer Analyst/Team Lead, focusing on team leadership and solution design. As the Owner of Electricmousetrap Consulting from 2000 to 2013, Jim consulted for Canadian government departments and developed applications. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Blastradius, WelcomeToSearch, and Corporate Insights Inc., where foundational software was developed. Jim holds a degree from Carleton University, completed between 1981 and 1986.
