Félix Cannat is a seasoned aerospace engineer specializing in electric propulsion systems, currently serving as a Senior Test/Design Engineer at ION-X since January 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Electrical Propulsion Research Engineer at Mars Space Ltd from February 2016 to December 2022, where responsibilities encompassed the design, manufacture, assembly, integration, and testing of magnetized plasma sources, including the Ring Cusp Gridded Ion Engine and Hollow Cathode. Félix Cannat completed a Ph.D. at Ecole Doctorale de Polytechnique from 2012 to 2015, focusing on electron cyclotron resonance plasma thrusters. Additional experience includes research internships at ONERA and the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, enhancing skills in experimental diagnostics and plasma characterization.
