Dennis Herd has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1989, starting as a Chemist at Midwest Research Institute. Dennis then went on to serve as Director of QA/QC at Martec Scientific in 1991, QC Manager at Schwarz Pharma in 2000, Director of Quality Control at Banner Pharmacaps in 2005, Director of Quality at Amerilab Technologies in 2007, Director, Quality Control at Noven Pharmaceuticals in 2011, and Vice President Quality at Sovereign Pharmaceuticals in 2012. Most recently, Herd has been the Vice President, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D at Ion Labs, Inc. since 2018.

Dennis Herd attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
