Bianca Mercedes has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bianca started their career as a Substitute Paraprofessional with the NYC Department of Education in 2002. Bianca then worked as a Teacher at Manhattan Christian Academy from 2003 to 2006 before returning to the NYC Department of Education as a Teacher from 2006 to 2010. Bianca joined Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School in 2010 as a Teacher & Dean of Students, and later became the School Principal at Manhattan Christian Academy from 2013 to 2019. Bianca then transitioned to Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School as a Principal In Residence from 2019 to 2022, Middle School Principal from 2021 to 2023, and currently holds the position of Chief Schools Officer since 2022.

Bianca Mercedes completed their Masters of Science degree in Childhood/Special Education Grades 1-6 from Touro University between 2006 and 2009.
