Kirk Simmons has an extensive legal career, currently serving as a Non Executive Director at Invertebrates Australia since December 2023. Previously, Kirk held multiple roles at Canva from June 2017 to March 2024, including Lead Product Counsel, Head of Legal Operations, and Head of Legal. Prior experience includes serving as Legal Counsel at Cricket Australia and eBay Australia and New Zealand, as well as a Casual Academic at the University of Technology Sydney, specializing in corporate law and civil practice. Early in the career, positions included Senior Associate at DLA Piper Australia, Tipstaff to the Hon. Justice Rothman at the Supreme Court of NSW, and various roles at DLA Phillips Fox and Ernst & Young focusing on commercial litigation and international taxation. Kirk Simmons holds a dual LLB(Hons) and B.Bus(Fin) from the University of Technology Sydney.
