Martin Vermaak

Chief Operating Officer at Invenco

Martin Vermaak has extensive experience in operations management and executive leadership roles. Martin served as the Chief Operating Officer at Invenco Group Limited from 2016 to the present, where they oversaw supply chain and logistics, quality management, and product life cycle management. Martin also led the manufacturing and engineering teams, implementing quality standards and agile methodologies. Prior to that, Vermaak was the Chief Operating Officer at Booyco Electronics (Pty) ltd from 2014 to 2016, where they developed an organizational strategy and implemented operational planning and control systems. Martin has also held positions as Managing Director at Regenersis (Pty) Ltd from 2013 to 2014, and Operations Director at PFK Electronics (Pty) Ltd from 2007 to 2013. In these roles, they focused on operational strategies, quality management, and effective communication.

Martin Vermaak has an extensive education history. In 1987, they attended the Department of Manpower and obtained a degree in Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control Mechanician, focusing on industrial automation. From 1990 to 1992, they studied at Durban University of Technology and earned a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Light Current, specializing in Electronics and Industrial Instrumentation. Additionally, they completed a degree in Electrical Engineering Light Current from the same university from 1990 to 1993.

In 2009, Martin Vermaak pursued higher education at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations in 2011. Later, in 2016, they attended the University of Cape Town for Sales Management, studying Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services for a brief period of time.

Moreover, Martin Vermaak enhanced their qualifications with a certification in Certified Six Sigma Black Belt obtained from the International Six Sigma Instituteā„¢ in August 2016.
