Rich Mahoney is an experienced leader in the field of robotics and engineering, currently serving as VP of Research at Intuitive since November 2020, where Rich leads a team focused on developing cutting-edge technologies to improve patient outcomes. Rich has held various influential positions, including Member of the Board of Directors at Kitware Inc. and Advisor and Founder/CEO of Seismic. Additionally, Rich has contributed to the advisory boards of Robocap and other organizations, and previously served as Executive Director of SRI Robotics. Rich's extensive background also includes roles such as General Manager at Motorika and Director of Business Development at Applied Resources Corp. Rich earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and holds both an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
