Joseph Altemus is a Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and robotics. At Intuitive Machines since April 2022, Joseph focuses on lunar flight hardware design. Previously, Joseph worked at HX5 LLC from August 2016 to April 2022 as a Mechanical Design Engineer, contributing to the Valkyrie Humanoid Robot through a complete mechanical system redesign and leading assembly efforts. Earlier internships included roles at Intuitive Machines, where Joseph assisted in the design and construction of Terrestrial Return Vehicle drop test units, and at NASA, where Joseph designed a battery cart for robotics competitions. Joseph's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas.
