Kristaps Tomsons has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Kristaps started their career as a Legal Support Officer at Nordea Bank Finland Plc and later worked as a Lawyer at BMS-Baltijas Marketing Serviss SIA and the Data State Inspectorate.

In 2013, they joined Tet.lv as a Lattelecom / Tet IoT Product Manager, where they were responsible for developing and managing the strategic product "Lattelecom Telemetry."

After that, they worked at Lindorff as a Product Manager Baltics, focusing on business evaluation, development, and introduction of financial data exchange and consumer financing products. Kristaps also held roles as the Head of Business Development Baltics and Business CIO Baltics at Lindorff.

In 2015, Kristaps started their coaching and mentoring career as a Personal Finance & Small Business Coach at Ziemeļmeita Consulting, helping individuals with personal finance topics and small businesses with their growth.

From 2017 to 2021, they were the Director of Business Development and Project Management Office at Intrum Baltics, overseeing corporate development, business transformation, and IT project delivery.

Kristaps later held various roles at Intrum, including the Director Center of Excellence (Global Business Services), Transformation Manager Baltics, Head of COO Office Centre of Excellence, and Central Transformation Manager, Norway.

In addition to their professional work, they also serve as a Mentor at RÄ«gas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

Kristaps Tomsons has a diverse education history that spans various prestigious institutions. Kristaps obtained an Executive Education Certificate in Management from the London Business School in 2020, focusing on Strategy Development & Value Creation. In 2023, they furthered their education at the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) by earning a Board Member Education Certificate in Corporate Governance. Prior to this, they pursued an Executive MBA from RÄ«gas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga from 2012 to 2014, with a field of study in Finance, Economics, Strategy, and Corporate Governance. Additionally, they gained expertise in Financial Markets through a certificate program at Yale University in 2014. In 2013, they participated in the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program, focusing on Business/Managerial Economics and doing business in China and Hong Kong. Before specializing in business, Mr. Tomsons completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 2011 and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 2009 at Latvijas Universitate, with a specific focus on Law. Kristaps has also obtained various certifications, including a Certificate of Board member from the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance in 2023, a Microsoft Power Platform certification from Microsoft in 2021, and Agile Foundation & Practitioner certification from Intrum in the same year. Furthermore, they hold additional certifications in GDPR, Financial Markets, Financial Accounting, Executive Master of Business Administration, and International Bribery and Corruption.
