Mark Feit has diverse work experience in the engineering and software development field. Mark started their career at Mitron Systems Corporation as an Application Programmer, where they designed and implemented a program for remote data collection. Mark then worked at Engineering Research Associates as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed components for computer-based training systems.
Later, Feit joined UUNET as a Development Team Lead, where they led a team in maintaining and operating the company's trouble ticketing system. Mark also built software to process emails, detect spam, and monitor system health. After that, they worked at Teetimes.com as the Director of Software Engineering, leading the maintenance and development of the company's products.
Feit then moved to The OakHill Group as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they developed various systems and provided technical oversight for performance improvements. Mark then joined Zeta Associates as an Associate, where they were involved in the design, development, integration, and deployment of systems worldwide.
In 2013, Feit joined Pi-Coral, Inc. as a Member of Technical Staff. Mark'swork there was subject to a non-disclosure agreement, but they co-designed a significant product feature and developed proof-of-concept implementations.
Currently, Feit works at Internet2 as a Principal Software Engineer. Mark quickly established himself as a key developer of perfSONAR, a widely-deployed network test and measurement system. Mark evaluated the existing product and developed plans for a full replacement of the core measurement features.
Throughout their career, Feit has demonstrated strong technical skills, contributed to the development of innovative products, and provided technical guidance to teams.
Mark Feit earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, which they attended from 1986 to 1990.
