Yan Tai serves as a senior member on the external affairs team at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), focusing on PR and media relations. She has broad experience in communications and marketing especially in real estate, sustainability and financial services. Between 2015 and 2020, while leading IWBI’s global PR and marketing efforts focusing on Asia, Yan was a driving force for the region’s rapid adoption of WELL programs to lead as a top performing market.

Prior to IWBI, Yan worked in dynamic backgrounds across several industries. Her focus on effective communications enables business growth and brand expansion. Trained as a journalist, Yan has had solid experience in journalism, media relations, marketing, and branding. Her expertise lies in strategic communications for global businesses and multinational companies.

Driven by her natural interest in people and the society, Yan set her career goal early on as a writer. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and literature from China. She is based in the New York City area.
