Carolina Martins is a Digital Inclusion Consultant at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) since February 2024. Previously, Carolina served as Vice-President at Lisbon Data Science Academy from February 2018 to February 2024, overseeing various operational aspects, including marketing and finance. As Marketing Lead, Carolina developed and implemented a comprehensive digital marketing strategy. Additionally, Carolina held the position of Chief Operations Officer and Shareholder at DareData Engineering, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and profitability. In the role of Technical Observer for the Portuguese Technical Committee on AI Standardization, Carolina contributed to the development of normative documents in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Carolina also founded and hosted the "Empire of the Extraordinaire" podcast and has extensive experience in event production and marketing from earlier roles at Afirma and Plataforma Portuguesa das ONGD. Academically, Carolina holds a Master of Science in Corporate Science from Instituto Superior de Gestão and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Cultural Management from Universidade Lusófona.
