Michael Flynn has a diverse work experience across various organizations and roles. Michael began their career in the Territorial Army as a Soldier from April 1984 to January 1989. Michael then joined the Royal Hong Kong Police as an Inspector from February 1989 to February 1992. Following this, they worked as a Civilian Detention Officer at Nottinghamshire Police from August 1992 to April 1994. Michael then transitioned into the education sector, working as a Lecturer and Programme Coordinator at Northampton College from August 1995 to July 2000. Michael continued their career in education at Cebu International School as an IB Coordinator, Teacher, and Security Coordinator from July 2000 to July 2004. Most recently, Michael served as the Director of Operations and Security at International School Manila from July 2004 onwards.
Michael Flynn holds a BA in History with Education from the University of Chichester which they obtained from 1985 to 1988. Michael also pursued a PGCE in History and English from Keele University from 1994 to 1995. Additionally, Flynn obtained an MSc in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester between 2005 and 2007. Michael has also obtained various certifications including Youth Protection Training from the Boy Scouts of America in January 2016, and an International Crime Prevention Specialist certification from the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners, Inc in June 2014.
