Gary Aulfinger is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in enterprise computing and storage management. Currently serving as IT Senior Manager at International Paper since September 2019, Gary oversees teams responsible for operating systems, virtualization, SAN storage, backup recovery, and disaster recovery. Prior roles include IT Manager of Unix Services and Unix Engineering Team Lead at IBM, where responsibilities encompassed data protection systems management and leading a successful transition from contractor to full-time Principal Engineer following IBM's acquisition of Verizon's services. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at EVS Corporation, focusing on WAN-based backup and recovery, and technical advisory roles at FedEx Services, where Gary shaped next-generation backup solutions and managed IT operations. Gary holds an MS in Public Management and Information Technology and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
