Shuichiro Arafune currently serves as a Recovery and Durable Solutions Officer at IOM - UN Migration, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Arafune worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan from April 2009 to February 2023, advancing to the title of Assistant Director. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law from The Fletcher School at Tufts University (2020-2021), a Postgraduate Degree in International Relations from Universidade de Brasília (2011-2012), and a degree in Law from Waseda University (2005-2009).
