Alberto Tumino is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic analysis and fiscal policy. Currently serving as a Technical Assistance Advisor at the International Monetary Fund since February 2022, Alberto previously held the position of Economic Analyst at the European Commission, where responsibilities included conducting fiscal policy analyses and coordinating the transfer and development of the EUROMOD microsimulation model. Prior to this, Alberto was a Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex, focusing on Public Economics and Labour Economics, and contributed to the maintenance of the EUROMOD model. Alberto's early career included an internship at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, where statistical analysis of regional public expenditure was performed. Alberto holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex and advanced degrees from Università Bocconi.
