Nicolas Messner’s work experience begins with their role at the International Judo Federation in 2010. Nicolas served as the Media and Communication Director, responsible for media relations and communication tools such as the federation's website and social media accounts. In 2014, they took on the role of Media and Judo for Peace Director, promoting peace through the practice of judo in conflict and post-conflict areas.
Prior to their time at the International Judo Federation, Messner worked at the FISU - International University Sports Federation in the Media Department from 2004 to 2009.
Before that, they served as a Chef de Projet at 2exVia from 2001 to 2004 and as a Cadre Technique - Chargé de Communication at Ligue d'Alsace de Judo from 1999 to 2000.
Their earlier work experience includes roles as Chargé de Communication at CREPS d'Alsace from 1997 to 1999, Ingénieur Mesures Physiques at Mars in 1996, and Ingénieur R&D at Saint-Gobain Abrasives in 1996.
Nicolas Messner has a BSc degree in Instrumentation and Measurements from Sheffield Hallam University, which they obtained in 1996. Nicolas also has a DUT Mesures Physiques degree in Physiques and Math from Université de Strasbourg, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. Prior to that, they earned a BSc degree in Mesures Physiques from Université Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg I), which they completed between 1991 and 1994. Nicolas also holds a certification called "Diplômé d'Etat 2nd degré de judo" from the Ministère des Sports (France), obtained in 1991.
