Susanne Knaus has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Susanne started their career at The World Bank as a Program Assistant from February 1998 to June 2000. Susanne then joined the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) as an Executive Assistant from June 2000 to November 2001. At The World Bank, they held various roles including Communications and Content Lead from November 2001 to December 2011, Senior Program Manager (Communications and Content) from July 2011 to July 2013, and Senior Program Manager (Communications and Content) to MD and World Bank Group CFO from August 2013 to present. Susanne also worked as a Grants & Trusts Fundraising Officer at Hope for Tomorrow from September 2018 to July 2021. Susanne temporarily retired to travel and enjoy life from October 2017 to September 2018.

Susanne Knaus completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Strayer University, which they pursued from 2005 to 2009. Later, they obtained a Masters degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University during the period of 2010 to 2012.
