Jelisaveta Fotic is an experienced professional in the fields of publishing and diabetes advocacy, currently serving as an Editorial Assistant for the scientific journal Balcanica at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA since April 2021. In addition to this role, Jelisaveta holds the position of Global Young Leader in Diabetes with the International Diabetes Federation and is a Co-Founder of DiaTravellers, a platform established in October 2018. Previously, Jelisaveta was a Production Editor at MDPI for a brief period in 2020-2021. Academically, Jelisaveta is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology at the University of Belgrade, following a Master of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Central European University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Belgrade.
