Nazanine Moshiri is a seasoned professional in journalism and analysis, currently serving as a Senior Analyst for the International Crisis Group focusing on Climate, Environment & Conflict in Africa since February 2022. Previously, Nazanine held the position of Head of TV for the East Africa and Red Sea Region at Reuters, overseeing a team of video journalists. Experience includes roles with the United Nations, ITN as a Freelance Correspondent for ITV News, and as a Freelance Writer for The New Arab, where commentary centered on security and political issues in the Arab world. With a significant tenure at Al Jazeera Media Network as a Presenter and Correspondent, Nazanine has reported on critical global events, often from high-risk areas. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in International Conflict Resolution Law from the University of London and a Master’s Degree in Security Studies from the University of Leicester, among others.
