Octavio Cifuentes has over 30 years of experience in the pre-press and print production industry. Octavio began their career as a lead pre-press operator at L.P. Thebault, where they honed their skills in layout production, color correction, and retouching. Octavio also gained experience in proof review and film output.

In 1996, Octavio joined EarthColor as a pre-press specialist, where they continue to develop their expertise in pre-press processes and workflows.

In 2001, they joined Imperial Litho as a pre-press and color specialist. Here, they further refined their print production skills and expanded their knowledge of waterless printing processes. Octavio also deepened their understanding of large and small format printing, inkjet proofing, and finishing techniques.

Additionally, Octavio served as the Chief Operating Officer at International Color Services starting in 2006. In this role, they played a key role in the development and implementation of innovative systems and apps such as Proofics, Scissorhands, Imagineer, and Webster. Octavio successfully transformed the proofing turnaround time from days to hours, greatly enhancing the efficiency and output quality of the company. Octavio also gained a high-level understanding of color science, color management, and production processes while working with both RGB and CMYK colorspaces.

Throughout their career, Octavio has consistently demonstrated their expertise in print production, color analysis, project management, and attention to detail.

Octavio Cifuentes attended the Universidad de Administracion y Mercadotecnia del Quindio, where they studied Computer Software Engineering. No specific start or end year was provided for their education at this institution.
