Phil Marshall is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and human rights. Currently serving as a Senior Officer in the Strategy, Knowledge, Evaluation, and Impact Unit at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) since July 2022, Phil has also held the position of Director at the Research and Communications Group (RCG) since December 2007, where expertise in private sector engagement is demonstrated. Additionally, Phil is a Director at The Mekong Club, focusing on business-led solutions to combat modern slavery. Past roles include leading a working group on slavery-free recruitment systems at The Issara Institute and managing a multi-country UNDP project on human trafficking involving numerous UN agencies. Phil's earlier career includes consultancies for prominent organizations such as ADB and UNICEF and a position as Policy and Planning Adviser for CHAS in Vientiane. Phil holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Administration from NCDS, ANU, and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington.
