Andra-Lucia Martinescu is an accomplished professional in international relations and migration policy. Currently serving as an Expert at the European Union Global Diaspora Facility at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development since December 2022, Martinescu also co-founded The Diaspora Initiative in January 2019 and holds the position of Research Fellow at the Foreign Policy Centre. With previous experience as a Contributing Analyst at IHS Jane’s Security until March 2023, Martinescu has held several research-focused roles, including Resident Fellow at the Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research and Advisor at the Presidential Administration of Romania. Academic credentials include a Master of Philosophy in International Relations and ongoing Doctoral studies in the same field at the University of Cambridge.
