Lucy Mnatsakanian has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lucy started their career as a Junior Analyst at the Russian International Affairs Council in 2014. From there, they worked as an Intern at the Council of Europe, where they were responsible for preparing press reviews, organizing meetings, and translating documents. Lucy then became an English Language Teacher as a freelancer, teaching until 2016.
In 2015, they joined the National Research University - Higher School of Economics as an Admissions Coordinator, and also worked as an Admissions Specialist at Laureate International Universities. In this role, they made admission decisions for Master and Doctorate programs, coordinated admissions across multiple locations, and trained staff.
Lucy's experience also includes working as a Language Specialist at Storegear B.V., a Supervisor/Examiner at the British Council, and an Academic Advisor at Laureate International Universities. Lucy taught Academic Writing and Literature Studies as a Lecturer at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and served as a Masters Programmes Coordinator.
Currently, Lucy is working as the Global Recognition Project Lead at the International Baccalaureate, where they are responsible for leading a project focused on global recognition.
Lucy Mnatsakanian obtained a Master's degree in Foreign languages and intercultural communication from the Higher School of Economics from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Relations from the same institution from 2011 to 2015. Lucy also pursued a Visiting Undergraduate Student program in International Relations at Sciences Po in 2014. Lucy completed French language courses, reaching C1 and B1 levels, from France-Formation International in 2013 and attended professional French language courses at the French Institute of Alpes (IFALPES) in the same year. In their early education, they obtained Pre-University Education from Education center № 1927 named of Kondrashov V.N, Moscow from 2001 to 2009. Lucy also holds various certifications, including a teaching qualification from Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) in 2020, a Basisexamen Inburgering from the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap in 2016, and a Certificate of Proficiency in English (C2) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2016. Lucy additionally obtained a Business English Higher (B1) certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2015 and a Diplôme approfondi de langue française (DALF) / C1 from Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP) in 2014.
