Stefan Friedrichsdorf

President, Special Interest Group On Pain In Childhood at International Association for the Study of Pain

Stefan Friedrichsdorf, MD, FAAP, currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Pain, Palliative and Integrative Medicine at UCSF School of Medicine and as the Medical Director of the Stad Center for Pediatric Pain, Palliative and Integrative Medicine at UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians. Additionally, Stefan holds the position of Professor in Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco. As President of the Special Interest Group on Pain in Childhood for the International Association for the Study of Pain, Stefan focuses on promoting education, research, and interdisciplinary approaches to manage children's pain. Stefan's extensive experience includes serving as Course Director for the Annual Pediatric Pain Master Class at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals and being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2013. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universität zu Lübeck and specialized training in Pediatric Pain Medicine and Palliative Care from the University of Sydney.
