Regina (Rianne) van Boekel PhD, RN, serves as Head Nurse and Zorgmanager at Radboud Expertise Centrum Pain and Palliative Medicine since August 1993, while also holding the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain and Palliative Medicine. Regina (Rianne)'s expertise includes acute pain management, coordination of the Acute Pain Service, and extensive clinical research focused on postoperative pain. Regina has been actively involved in various advisory and leadership roles in nursing organizations, including the International Association for the Study of Pain and V&VN Pijnverpleegkundigen. Educated at Radboud University with a PhD in Medical Sciences and holding an MSc in Epidemiology from VU University Amsterdam, Regina possesses a strong academic background complemented by multiple board memberships and contributions to guideline development for postoperative pain management.
