Maoli Yuan is an experienced professional in the field of vaccine design and quality assurance, currently serving as Associate Director of GMP Quality Assurance at IAVI since October 2007. In this role, Maoli provides QA guidance, supports GMP manufacturing at CDMOs, and oversees the review and approval of various quality-related documentation. Previously, as Principal Scientist in Vaccine Design and Early Development, Maoli led a research team to develop viral vector-based vaccine candidates and implemented scalable production processes. Maoli's expertise includes establishing an early development lab and mentoring junior researchers across various roles, including Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist. Maoli's academic background includes Master's degrees in Pharmacology and Computer Science from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University and The City College of New York, respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in Preventive Medicine from Shanghai Medical University.
