Kristen Syvertsen is a seasoned professional in manufacturing operations and logistics, currently serving as the Director at IAVI since January 2009, where responsibilities include managing the supply chain for Investigational Products and overseeing various operational activities such as GMP cold storage and clinical shipments. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director of Vaccine Production at Wyeth Research and the role of Research Scientist II, focusing on scaling up production processes for clinical assays. Kristen's academic background features a Master’s degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University. Early career experiences include roles as a Teaching Assistant/Research Assistant and Laboratory Assistant, contributing to research in biosystems and plant pathology.
